Bart Albini

A 23-year resident of Maplewood, Bart has been married to his wife Loretta for 24 years.  They have one daughter, who just graduated from

Indiana University, and one son, who is starting his junior year at Temple University.

They found Maplewood to be a charming suburban town, in the midst of a large urban expansion, that still held the old family values, good schools, and an awareness of its history and traditions.

For more than 35 years, Bart has been a self-employed network consultant and trouble shooter.

He holds a masters degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from Steven’s Institute of Technology in Hoboken New Jersey.

Over the years, Bart has been involved in Maplewood’s scouting movement, has been a Cub Master and a member of Troop 5’s Troop Committee for last 8 years.  For the last 5 years he has been involved with Maplewood’s CBAC (Citizens Budget Advisory Committee), and is the Chair of the Recreation’s Department budget for the CBAC.

His un-usual business experience has enabled him to analyze problems and issues and determine time saving, cost effective solutions for his clients; a skill that would enhance the Township Committee in these troubled economic times.

Bob is a senior executive with more than 40 years of operations and administrative business experience and has a degree in management from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton New Jersey.  His successful career has included Fortune corporations, as well as fast growth, high technology and startup companies.  Currently, Bob is employed as Vice President of Human Resources with a leading New Jersey based manufacturing company employing more than 6,000 associates in 8 manufacturing plants servicing 40 states.

Over the years Bob has served in various volunteer capacities including; President of Caritas at Our Lady of Sorrows School in South Orange; Co-Chairman of the Board for INTERFACE with the JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, Edison, NJ; Chairman of the Board, Hudson County Urban League, Jersey City NJ; Trustee Lions Eye Bank of Delaware Valley; and Adult Leader Boy Scout Troop 10 (Our lady of Sorrows).

Bob’s business background in diverse companies coupled with his experience as a senior executive has provided him with a unique perspective and a balanced approach on business, financial and personnel challenges.  His flexibility, expertise and capability are evidenced by his success and leadership in support of his present Company’s growth from a small North East manufacturer to a National leader in 14 years.

His unique business and people based approach will bring the Township Committee a constructively different orientation relative to the budget, safety, and quality of life challenges that Maplewood faces.
