| Maplewood Garden Club Talk and Meeting | | Date: | November 2nd, 2009 | | Time: | 7:30pm | | Information: | The Monday, November 2, meeting of Maplewood Garden Club features Kathleen Gagan, who will speak on “A Passion for Peonies.” Ms. Gagan is the owner of Peony’s Envy, located in Bernardsville, NJ, one of the largest nurseries in the Northeast for both herbaceous and tree peonies, with an inventory of thousands of plants as well as a display garden open during the blooming season. Maplewood Garden Club meets at Maplewood Memorial Library, 51 Baker Street, Maplewood, at 7:30 P.M. The club is open to all who have an interest in gardening, horticulture, flowers, nature, and conservation. Each month we have a short business meeting and flower/horticulture exhibit and judging followed by our featured speaker; and an open forum for Q & A is usually available. You don't need to be a member to come. The evening is entertaining, everyone is friendly, and it's free. Refreshments are served. Each month we have a raffle of a garden-related item, and this month the winner may be you. |
