You’re welcome. Your Commish must have given his office the day off.
What caught my eye is that the Phils and Mets don’t play each other until that June 18 date.

Interesting. And the Braves and Mets don’t play until June 10.

Mets should make some hay in April and May.
I’m not sure how well this news is being covered in the USA baseball world. Over here, we’re pretty proud of this young man…
Patrick Crotty is a young man from the Brisbane bayside suburb of Redcliffe. He apparently has an impressive pitching style; his fast bowl is around 95mph. The Philadelphia Phillies just signed him for 6 years! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
The question is: Does Adell get 1.0 WAR for this game, or 3.0 WAR for preserving the win at three different points?
A season of streaks.
The Cubs had a 10-game winning streak, another 10-game winning streak and a 10-game losing streak, which ended today, all in their first 55 games.
The Padres are 0 for their last 30-something with runners in scoring position.
And part of the reason for that is, also today, Cristopher Sánchez extended his active scoreless streak to 44 2/3 innings — seventh longest in the live ball era.

I thought if you fell into the stands it was a HR.

“A fielder, in order to make a catch on a foul ball nearing a dugout or other out-of-play area (such as the stands), must have one or both feet on or over the playing surface (including the lip of the dugout) and neither foot on the ground inside the dugout or in any other out-of-play area.”
The world’s cleanest home plate.
My list of indictments:
1. Crawford for hesitating, neither breaking on contact and forcing a throw home nor getting back to third. (It’s open for debate whether he could have gotten back in time, but it was a slow roller and Muncy was playing farther off the bag than Crawford’s lead, so I believe he could have.) Either way, he apparently didn’t have a plan.
2. Realmuto, for obvious reasons.
3. The third base coach, for not making sure that Crawford knew what the plan was (contact or hold) and, when Crawford was a dead duck, for not making sure Realmuto stayed put on third.
4. Marsh, for not being on second when Realmuto was on third, forcing him to stay put and leaving the Phils what should have been the result in the first place: second and third with two outs.
One out. You can NOT get the second out at third base in that situation.

I think Crawford was go on contact, but he realized he had no chance. That being said there was no reason to turn back since 3rd base was occupied. Marsh was likely afraid to get thrown out going for 2nd. I don't know what Realmuto was thinking.

Except Crawford didn’t break on contact. He hesitated.
(With the corners in, I would not have put the contact play on. Force Muncy to make a good throw to first if the ball is hit to him. But if it was on, Crawford needed to go, hard, as soon as bat hit ball.)
Marsh was not going to draw a throw to second during the rundown.

Sure you can, if the runner on third scores. Or if Realmuto stays there while Crawford is tagged and Marsh advances to second.
I don't mind the Mets trading expiring contracts. I do think they sold low on Minter. The one aspect of deadline deals that should not matter to the Mets is salary relief, but that's about all they got. Two low minor league guys, one of whom is on the IL

I didn’t know Benny Agbayani had a son in the minors.
