On a serious note: Saturday is ANZAC Day: Remembering all Australian and New Zealand military personnel who’ve served since WW1, especially at the Battle of Gallipoli. We especially remember and honour those who died, who were injured, all those families requiring ongoing care and support.
Perhaps your federal Cabinet could spend some time learning about this significant day, and how extensively we’ve supported your military.

On this day in 1938 we first met everyone’s (except Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam) favorite wascally wabbit. Grab a carrot stick, and give it up for Bugs Bunny Day y’all!

A confluence of Nurse’s Week and Teacher Appreciation Week. Today is School Nurse’s Appreciation Day.
I don’t think there is anyone who doesn’t have some memory of going to the nurse’s office when not feeling well at school. So spare a thought for these folks who are often the first medical professional to tackle the ails and aches of students.
Sunday May 9th is World Migratory Bird Day. I can think of a few MOLers who will be excited about that 😘😁

May 9 is Lost Sock Memorial Day.
It's a day to commemorate lost socks - those that disappeared when you pulled their other partner from the washing machine, and didn't notice until it was too late. The day encourages people to let the remaining sock go to wander the world in search of its missing partner.

So I saw myself in a video yesterday and was really unhappy with my appearance. Vowed that today was the beginning of sensible eating and more activity.
So today turns out to be National Eat What You Want day. The fates are conspiring against me!!
Meet mrincredible. Like Dorian Gray, he can’t quite get over an image of himself. Resolved: He wants to eat sensibly. Why are the fates smiling?

Let’s spoil our local nurses, wherever they work! Bring flowers or cupcakes; sing a song with their name, cheer whenever you see them today… greet them by name and thank them for caring and protecting everyone (and every pet!) in our community!

I know we’re not actively doing this list anymore - but we need some comfort after learning about Suzanne Ng.

I’m always happy to continue this list. Now, strawberry rhubarb pie is something I don’t ever have to try again. But hear hear for Unca Donald!!

Yum. Because of its tantalizingly limited season, strawberry rhubarb may be my favorite pie.
