Quick? Unheard of.
I was really lucky once and got it the next day. I did go to Connecticut in person, though. I discovered it had expired when I tried to check in for a flight to Italy the following afternoon.
I'm off to Greece in a few weeks and I was very concerned about my passport status but turns out it's good for another year.
