A family in Martinsville, NJ is looking for an engaged, patient, and flexible nanny to help care for their 1-year-old son. Ideally, the family is seeking 3 to 5 days per week from 12 pm until 6 pm (18 - 30+ hours per week). However, the number of days and hours is flexible and will be based on the best fit for the chosen candidate. 

Someone with the flexibility for occasional overnight care and weekend date nights would be appreciated.


Duties:
Nanny will be working as a team with Mom, so while the nanny’s primary duty is caring for the child, additional duties may include the following: doing the family’s laundry, ironing, vacuuming, loading/emptying the dishwasher, grocery shopping, tidying up after the child, helping with cleaning the entire home, cooking for the child only (if meal is not pre-prepared), organizing and rotating toys and other household areas, and packing the diaper bag.


Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this home is patient, nurturing, engaging, and can switch between the responsibilities of a nanny and mother’s helper. Looking for someone who can take care of the baby when Mom steps out for the gym or errands and clean and maintain the home as needed. Nanny must have a driver’s license and be able to keep up with an active 14-month-old boy. Experience with sleep training and potty training is appreciated. The ideal nanny will incorporate developmental activities into playtime and maintain daily routines. Experience with infants/toddlers (changing diapers/bathing/dressing/preparing bottles and feeding) is a must. Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required.


About the child:
This 1-year-old is social, active, giggly, strong, and persistent. He does not currently walk but may be walking by the time a nanny begins.


About the parents:
Mom is a homemaker and is friendly, loving, introverted, organized, collaborative, and particular about cleanliness. Dad is ambitious, empathic, strong-willed, systematic, and has high expectations.
