Hi neighbors!

We have owned Silver Hound Dog Walking & Cat Sitting since 2014. We take care of dogs and cats in Maplewood, South Orange, and Millburn.

We are looking for one more walker, who would like to join our growing team.

All of our visits happen between 10 am and 3 pm on weekdays. No evenings. No weekends. No holidays away from your family. If your day already has a quiet middle in it, this fits into it without asking you to rearrange anything else.

WHAT YOU GET:

• - $17 an hour to start, moving up once you are fully trained
• - Tips on top of that
• - We pay for your drive time between visits, not only the time you are with the dog
• - Around 10 to 20 hours a week once you are trained, so you can build it around the rest of your life
• - A real W-2 job, not a gig app. Taxes withheld automatically, no surprise bill in April
• - Liability insurance and Workers' Comp, so you are covered if something happens
• - An employer matched 401K after 3 month
• - Our Referral Program. You earn a bonus when you bring us a new client, and another when you bring us a walker who joins the team

- Fresh air, a lot of walking, and about twenty dogs who will be thrilled to see you

YOU ARE NEVER OUT THERE ALONE:

Our walkers rotate, so you get to know most of our dogs and there is always someone to cover for you when you are sick or away. And the owners and your colleagues are always reachable. If a gate is locked, a dog is limping, or something just feels off, you send one message and we figure it out together.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

--> Honesty and the highest integrity
--> Experience with dogs
--> A car insured to yourself
--> Availability either Monday through Friday, 10 am to 3 pm, or Tuesday through Thursday, 10 am to 3 pm
--> Willingness to be out in the rain and the snow, because the dogs are waiting

Interest in cat sitting is a lovely bonus, but not required.
